Be!

Have you ever vacationed or visited a new place and when you check in they have all the brochures for local opportunities in that massive display rack? You know the; tours, restaurants, museums, shows, rentals, and more?

A few years ago I was on a family vacation with my inlaws. We were spending the better part of a week in a place I’d never been before. I was excited to explore new things, watch my kids experience adventures, and build new memories. We had researched ahead of time and secured all the brochures and I was ready to make our plans. Where did we most want to go? What made the most sense for the kids? Who wanted to see and do what? It’s a lot, especially when you get the extended family together and want to coordinate all of it.

About a month ago I sat down and made some space in my calendar to review how 2022 and think through what 2023 could be. This is a practice I’ve done for many years. Last year the word I leaned into was FOCUS. In some respects it helped, in others, I could have been better, or more focused. But we can’t live in the past so it’s time to look ahead.

This year my word is “BE”. I’m coming at it from a handful of angles and it will help me live into my why; to intentionally add value to others so they can experience their true potential, in many places. My goal is to Be present in the moments. To Be intentional with how and where I spend my time. And of course to Be me. I want to live in to my true potential.

In order to do the things that mean the most to me, my family, friends, and clients. To leave the legacy I desire I have to find the time to Be. Back to that family vacation, a lesson I took from that experience was, especially when there are many people to consider, sometimes you just need to stop and be…present…willing to wait for the plan to come together. Just be!

There are days when “be” is all I want, nowhere to go, nothing pressing to do, or people to see. Days where there is room for a nap with no guilt. Then there are others where I need a game plan and want to feel like we’re accomplishing something. Sometimes just getting out of the house can make that happen.

Ask yourself what could be, what is possible for you? Where do you plan to intentionally “Be” this year? Make sure you’ve made time for doing and space to just Be! I’d love to hear from you and help you create your own personal growth plan. When you’re ready let’s set up a complimentary Discovery Session and chat.

Make it a Great Day,

Chris
