Design: Make Use of Priorities

Romans 12:2- Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (NLT)

How do you determine what priorities you follow? Do you have them predetermined or do you let others, your boss/supervisor, or your friends, determine what your priorities are?

What systems do you need to put into place to help you maintain your priorities? How are you going to protect those priorities? Priorities will help you determine what you were willing to say yes to and give you the confidence to say no to what doesn’t align with them. Why would you spend time, energy, and effort doing something that doesn’t align with your priorities?

Once you’ve determined what your priorities are, share them with someone you trust so that they can help you navigate obstacles that will challenge your priorities. This shouldn’t be a spouse, parent, child, or pastor. It should be someone who can respectfully question your motives yet not be by the outcomes.

What people do you need to give responsibility and power to so they can help you keep your boundaries?
