Design: Take the Big Picture into Account

1 Timothy 4:8 On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds

promise for the present life and also for the life to come. (NASB)

When starting to apply systems and strategies to your life, you need to take into account the big picture. What are your core values? Where do you want to go? What do you want your life to look like? What type of person do you want to be? Once you know the answers to these questions, you can determine how you would respond in a situation based on who you want to be. Then as life happens you have designed a disciplined response based on who you want to be.
