All things being equal, people will work with people they like. All things not being equal, they still will. Face it, friendships drive relationships. The greater the friendship, the stronger

the desire to help the other. Consider your best friend who needs your help and your sister’s husband (ie. brother-in-law). Unless you have an even better relationship with your family relatives, you would prefer to help your best friend. This is the Friendship Principle as I have learned about it from John Maxwell in his wonderful people principles book, Winning with People. And the best way to have more friends is to be more of a friend. The friendship will follow as a result of the action.
